Install Subruu
Install directly from the Chrome Web Store, then connect your account.

Open the Chrome Web Store
Open the Subruu listing using the button above. Select Add to Chrome, then confirm Add extension.

Pin Subruu and connect your account
Open the extensions menu in Chrome and pin Subruu. Sign in on the Subruu website, then connect your account to the extension.

Open your video and start subtitles
Open a YouTube or Twitch stream, or another supported video. Open Subruu, choose your languages, then select Start subtitles.
Installation questions
Do I need to download a ZIP?
No. Install directly from the Chrome Web Store. Chrome manages the extension files.
I already installed the older manual version
To avoid opening two copies, disable the old manually installed copy before using the store version. Your member account remains the same.
The installation button is unavailable
Use desktop Chrome. On a managed work or school browser, ask your administrator whether extension installation is allowed.
How do I sign in after installation?
Return to the website, sign in, and complete the account connection. If the extension is not detected, return to the video page and open Subruu again.
How are updates installed?
Chrome manages updates for the store version. You do not need to replace extension folders.
